Handling and Storing
Observe the warnings and cautions in this section when handling and storing BK Medical transducers and attachments.
Download Care, Cleaning and Safety for more detailed information.
Handling Transducers
Transducers are designed for durability but must be handled with care. Dropping or bumping them can cause serious damage. Don’t step on the cord, or run over it with the wheels of the scanner. This damage is not covered by the warranty or the service contract.
WARNING To maintain safe operation, the transducer plug must always be completely dry.
Storing Transducers When Not in Use
Transducers should always be stored in a safe place. Do not leave them lying on a table, for example. They should not be stored with a watertight plug lid or cover screwed on.
When you are not using a transducer, place it in one of the transducer holders on the scanner.
