RF Ablation of Hepatic Tumors

RF ablation is a useful and safe technique for treating recurrent liver tumors after previous hepatectomy as well as for treating non-operable patients1. Recent technological advances have made larger coagulation volumes possible, allowing medium- and large-sized metastases to be treated.

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound* can be used to manage RFA.

*In the USA, contrast-enhanced ultrasound has not been market cleared by the FDA, with the exception of only select cardiac imaging applications.
